Welcome to my passion. All writing, all the time!

Before I shifted gears into my freelance life, I was a 20-plus-year reporter at key newspapers in Massachusetts and New York, earning awards from deadline and spot news writing to a medal for watchdog journalism from the national Investigative Reporters and Editors Association.

Now back in my old stomping grounds in the Bay State, this new, wonderful phase of my life includes writing regularly for The Boston Globe and a number of other publications.
 .
I share posting duties on Women Overboard! with my co-founder Mindy. We launched the blog in October 2010.

I also take on select non-fiction writing/editing projects from time to time when I feel something has the potential to be special. ... Like a manuscript written by an Afghan woman forced by war, as a child, to flee her country on foot to Pakistan. A rabbi's guide to leaning on God and yourself to reclaim a life stalled by addiction -- to anything. And grieved parents struggling for sweeping statutorial reform after their child is killed in the state's care.

All incredible and important works.

Which calls the question, what can I do for you?
